Pass Laboratories is widely regarded as one of the most innovative audio brands in the world. Its critically acclaimed Aleph, X and XA Series products have won numerous awards, and Founder and CEO Nelson Pass holds numerous audio patents. His achievements include developing the first dynamically biased Class A amplifier circuit, developing a fully cascode audio power amplifier, and developing the Stasis amplifier in 1977. 2/1/2008 We have added another premium speaker line:Volent. On display is the magnificent Volent VL-4. This legitimate full range loudspeaker (and most loudspeakers which purport to be 'full range' are anything but) is not only the best dynamic design we have ever heard, but is priced well below any ostensible competition. The same can be said for the Volent VL-2 and VL-3 as well. The finish on these speakers also easily surpasses that of the competition, even those using that highly touted "X" material in their cabinets ( otherwise known as Corian to members of the kitchen countertop industry). Sorry, couldn't resist.

1/3/08 Newly arrived is the Wadia 581se CD/SACD player. Whether on SACD or CD, Wadia continues to offer the best sounding one box solution for digital replay. The 581se incorporates 8 new circuit topologies which result in an incredibly detailed, dynamic and rich sounding musical performance. Please come listen and see what all the excitement is about. There are many new digital players out there at this point in time, but we invite anyone to bring their favorite current player by the store to compare with the Wadia 581se. The improvement over what you might now have may surprise you.
1/3/08 We have received our first shipment of the Wilson Benesch Trinity monitors. This gorgeous speaker boasts some unusual design features which allow it to reproduce music in an entrancing way. A 3 way (midbass, tweeter and supertweeter) which when paired with the WB Torus creates a true full range speaker system, flat from 20 Hz to 80kHz (!), all in a small and extremely attractive system, with the build quality for which Wilson Benesch is world renowned. The buzz is accurate. This speaker system is really something special.
10/6/06 We have received our first shipment of a pair of the Wilson Benesch Torus Infrasonic Generators and Torus amps. Truly a stunning product for the person who wants the very best. Without equal at this point in time for clean, fast, textural, accurate bass which will be delivered with a flat response to as low as humans can hear, and lower. Finally the answer to the Quad owners prayer of how to get bass without losing the integrity and transparency Quads can produce. Works with horns and other fast designs which heretofore never had a subwoofer which could really respond quickly enough to keep up; a perfect match for just about anything.
This is the 'subwoofer' (really much more than a conventional subwoofer) that Jon Valin of The Absolute Sound paired with Magico Minis to create his "Super System".
6/25/07 Now on display are a pair of Tom Evans Linear B monoblocks. We are demoing one of 4 pair in the world with a true balanced configuration. Simply stunning! Sonic results without equal in our experience, given a relatively sensitive loudspeaker design.
6/10/07 We have received our first shipment of Rega Saturn CD players. This is truly a killer piece, as reviewers world wide have noted. Incredible detail and dynamics, and matches up well against players costing twice as much.

7/1/2005 We now carry the Chord line of high performance cable products, out of the UK. These have been very well reviewed for years in the UK and Europe. They are examples of solid, cost effective engineering. The cables range from easily affordable-to allow even the most budget constrained person to make a worthwhile system upgrade-to their new Chord Signature line which is their statement product and challenges hyper expensive lines such as the Nordost Valhalla for much less money.
6/20/2005 Avantgarde Audio is now an authorized dealer for ASR, a highly regarded line of German electronics. The ASR Basis phono stage is well known in this country, and the Emitter I and Emitter II amplifiers are arguably the world's best integrated amplifiers, though they are integrateds in a different sense than most are familiar with. They are justly famous in Europe as being a fabulous, state of the art approach to amplification, and are poised to become equally well known and regarded in the States. We are happy to be able to offer this option to those who have speakers which present even the most difficult load to an amplifier. The Emitter is built to handle such situations with ease, and do so in a wonderfully musical and powerful way.
6/5/2005 Avantgarde Audio has been granted dealership status for the Nottingham Analogue line of turntables. Made in Nottingham, England, these turntables are extremely well built, attractive, competitively priced, and very musical sounding. Nottingham is not necessarily the best known turntable manufacturer among the general public whose last turntable experience was with a Pioneer direct drive, but is a favored make among cartridge manufacturers and other cognoscenti. Really lovely in every sense of the word.

We feel honored, as a small dealer in a small market, to be allowed to represent Wadia locally, and are appreciative of their confidence in us. Wadia has been in the forefront of digital design for years, and was the first company to apply high end audio technology to the digital format. We have used Wadia in our reference listening room for years even though we were not an official dealer, because, try as we might, we were never able to find another digital source which could operate at the same quality level. Our patience has paid off. We are now more than a little pleased to be able to offer this outstanding line to our customers. Wadia have several new products due to appear in the near future including a new statement level DAC, and a universal transport.
